Urbanscape Architects is an emerging architectural practice, dedicated to the contemporary design of private residences, multi-unit residential, and commercial buildings. Founded by Ali Malek, the practice is driven equally between the playful exploration of site, typology, and materiality, as well as the pragmatic principles of constructability, sustainability, and creating work of lasting value.

Working in a studio setting, the team at Urbanscape Architects brings a collaborative approach to each project. Their work is rooted in the belief that architecture has a fundamental role in shaping and expressing how we experience the world. Consequently, each project is carefully considered and researched, evolving from the site’s context and the client’s goals and resources. The final design leverages the story of its occupants to create intimate spaces that truly feel like home.

Urbanscape advocates for sustainable building practices including the use of renewable and recycled materials; reuse of building elements and systems with the dual objective of waste and cost reduction; utilization of efficient and sustainable energy systems; and green roof installations wherever possible. By keeping the economical, ecological, and cultural needs of each project in mind, the practice creates architecture that engages its context, residents, and the public realm.

For Urbanscape Architects, great design unifies pragmatic principles with innovative ideas. A process that results in honest, innovative work of enduring value.
